One of the most intricate signature designs to produce, Stalking Heron requires meticulous slate work. The colourful background pebbles contrast with the dark hues of the Heron whilst the leaf and flower work provide real depth of field. The mosaic is completed with a striking triangular slate border.

Grayscale Swirl

A whirlpool design showcasing our intricate black-to-white fade. This technique requires a lot of stone sorting to grade sizes and shades, then very careful placing to maintain the smooth sweeping lines.

Spring Petals

Burlington Slate from the Lake District (UK) frames each petal on this simple, yet striking design. Concentric circles of reds, whites, slim blacks and finally honey tinged yellows create a beautiful contrast for the whites in the petals which stretch out towards the Spring sunshine.

Materials:  cut lakeland slate and white/yellow/red/black Quartzite.

Dimensions: Diameter 1000mm / Depth 90mm

Round stone mosaic with sunburst pattern using brown, white, and gray pebbles, displayed vertically.

Celtic Knot

Amongst the many types of Celtic knot, our signature mosaic most closely resembles a Dara knot. The Dara design features interlaced knots with no beginning or end. In Celtic tradition, this symbolises the oak tree and the promise of birth, death and rebirth. The knot contains fading pebbles from blues to speckled greys and whites whilst the background features radiating lines of black quartzite.

Materials:  tumbled green slate, quartzite black, speckled grey and quartzite white pebbles.

Dimensions: Diameter 600mm / Depth 90mm

Decorative pebble mosaic with geometric pattern in black, blue, and white stones.

Rising Fish

Beautifully illustrative of Maggy’s love of playfulness and exaggeration, the rising fish mosaic is an arresting sight. The fins are created by using diamond disc grinders to cut strong lines into stone, giving a different texture to the round edges of the pebbles. The use of small white limestone provides real contrast against the background blacks. The design is framed by a curved border accentuating the natural arc of the fish.

Materials: Speckled grey granite, black quartzite, white limestone, green burlington slate

Dimensions: 750mm x 750mm / Depth 90mm

Evening Butterfly

Symmetry works beautifully in pebble mosaic, especially in smaller dimensions. This is abundantly clear in the Evening Butterfly mosaic where duality of the delicate wing patterns jump out against the darker pebble background. The mosaic is framed by a striking triangular slate border.

Materials: Black quartzite, white quartzite, red jasper, yellow quartzite, green burlington slate.

Dimensions: Diameter 1000mm / Depth 90mm

Coloured Swirl

A whirlpool design showcasing our intricate pebble grading. Pebbles fade from thick in the centre to thin at the edge of each swirl as the colours also shift from white to dark brown and finally blacks. This technique requires a lot of stone sorting to grade sizes and shades then very careful placing to maintain the smooth sweeping lines.

Materials:

Dimensions: Diameter 850mm diameter / Depth 90mm.
