Pebble mosaic looks great under water, making the colours of the pebbles more brilliant. In pools, Maggy likes to emulate the effect of a rock pool, with shallow water of perhaps 50mm depth; safe for children & small animals. Cascades are another attractive option, where the ripples made by the water falling over the surface of the mosaic adds lively, sparkling animation to the scene.

The technical design & installation of pools & cascades requires the expertise of specialist contractors. One point to mention is that all systems require superior filtration & a method of dosing with chemicals to eliminate the growth of algae, which would otherwise spoil the effect. Unfortunately, this means that the construction & plant required can be very expensive.
